Chancey Aghayere has one official visit scheduled this fall – to defending national champion Florida Sept. 15. Most of the summer, the five-star defensive end had planned to announce his college decision following that visit to Gainesville. Now, Aghayere is considering taking more official visits and Louisville is in the mix.

Aghayere, a 6-foot-3, 240-pound lineman, has narrowed his list to six schools: Texas, Florida, Louisville, Notre Dame, LSU and Oklahoma. He says he might visit one or more of those programs after his trip to Florida before making his decision.

"I'm trying to set up some more (official) visits, but I don't know which (schools) I'm going to visit," Aghayere told InsideTheVille.com. "I'm considering visiting Notre Dame, Louisville, Texas and LSU in late September, the 21st-22nd, something like that."

Aghayere said he's changed his timetable for a decision – slightly. "I'll probably make my decision sometime in late September," he said.

Aghayere, along with Garland High teammate Jacques Caldwell, made an unofficial visit to Louisville late last month. On that visit, Caldwell, a 5-9 wide receiver, verbally committed to Louisville. Aghayere said he liked his trip to Louisville and is currently debating whether or not to schedule an official visit with the Cardinals next month.

"Louisville was nice," he said. "It was different than I thought it would be. I thought it would be cold but it was hot. I'm still debating whether or not I should take the official to (Louisville) since I've already been there."

Aghayere admitted that he and Caldwell have discussed playing together at Louisville next season.

"Yeah, we've talked about it off and on," Aghayere said. "That would be cool."

While Aghayere is considering a host of factors for making his decision, the most important appears the opportunity to play right away next season as a true freshman.

"It's very important," he said. "They're all telling me the same thing that I could come in and play early. I'm looking to play in a 4-3 defense. That's what we do at my high school. My strengths are getting to the quarterback and stopping the run."
