Football Recruiting Roundup

Inside the football recruiting roundup: Updates on three-star prospects Ed Tinker and Devin Smith, monster offensive tackle Mesh Wokomaty and Georgia athlete Bryden Trawick.

Brynden Trawick, a safety from Lovejoy, Georgia, boasts ten scholarship offers and a couple of big time programs could be getting close to joining the party.

"I don't have any new offers, but a lot of schools have called," Trawick told "I got a call from all of the schools that I have offers from as well as Louisville and Ohio State. I think Louisville may offer soon and Ohio State may offer me. We'll have to see."

Trawick has offers from Boston College, Purdue, Mississippi State, Michigan State, Maryland, Marshall and Mississippi. He's already got two official visits set and he plans to make his visits before making a decision.

"I have visits set up for Purdue and Michigan State," said Brynden. "I want to take all of my visits, but I am not sure what other schools I am going to visit. Everybody is recruiting me pretty hard and they are recruiting me pretty much the same. I don't have any favorites. I am looking at everybody as equals."

Ed Tinker
Ed Tinker, a three-star wide receiver from Pittsburgh, PA, has offers from Colorado, Louisville, West Virginia, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio, Pittsburgh and Iowa. He told this week that he favors Colorado slightly over Louisville, Michigan State, West Virginia and Minnesota.

"I've set up my first official visit to Colorado for Sept. 15," Tinker told "I don't really know too much about them and I'm just excited to see what the area is like and check out their facilities and campus.

Tinker has strong connections to Louisville. "I'm friends with Tino Sunseri (quarterback for Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh) and he's already committed to Louisville," Tinker said. "It would be cool if we were to play together and that I'd already know somebody on the team."

Louisville hasn't offered three-star Texas corner Devin Smith yet, but the Cardinals are certainly thinking about it. Smith has a bunch offers, including from Oklahoma State, Wisconsin and Baylor.

"I'm still keeping things open right now. I'm trying to do my homework on all the schools that have offered me a scholarship," Smith told "There are a few other schools like LSU and Louisville that haven't offered yet but told me to be patient."

Mesh Wokomaty
Mesh Wokomaty is a towering 6'7" 280 lb offensive tackle currently playing for East Paulding (GA) High School. Wokomaty hopes that as his senior season goes on, scholarship offers will come in.

"Georgia Tech, Southern Miss, and Louisville are recruiting me," says Mesh. "They all want to see me this season first before they extend me an offer. They are my top three, although Georgia Tech really stands out, although Southern Miss does too."
