Commitment Update: Dixon out with knee injury

COMMITMENT UPDATE: InsideTheVille.com updates the progress of several prospects who have verbally committed to the Cardinals for the 2008 season, including three-star WR Damion Dixon, who will miss several weeks of action with a knee injury.

TOP COMMITS

Damion Dixon: The 6'4 wide receiver did not play Friday night against Lee High because of a knee injury. Dixon will miss the next 3-6 weeks with a knee injury suffered last week in a loss to Tara HS.

Ben Cotton: Louisville's tight end of the future was slowed down in a 24-0 loss to Valley (IA) Friday night. Cotton, who entered the game with 30 receptions for 401 yards, caught 3 passes for 41 yards against Valley.

Tino Sunseri: Heading into a big matchup with Penn-Trafford, Sunseri had completed 29 passes for 555 yards and eight touchdowns on the season while leading Pittsburgh Central Catholic to the No. 1 ranking in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review poll. Sunseri led his team to a 42-21 win over Penn-Trafford Friday night.

TOP PROSPECT

Darius Ashley: The 5'9, 185-pound Ashley rushed for 89 yards on 19 carries Friday night in an 18-0 win over rival Cincinnati Elder. Ashley, who suffered a sprained ankle in the season-opener, rushed for 103 yards in his return to action last week.
