"They're recruiting me a lot," Bohannon said. "I don't have an offer from Louisville. They said they wanted to see me play. I'm going to have to send some film up there to them."
Louisville assistant Mike Mallory is heading the Cardinals recruiting effort of Scout.com's No. 72 defensive end in the nation. "I talk to him a lot," said Bohannon. "I haven't talked to him in the past two weeks though. I guess they are practicing more or something. I don't know. The last time I talked to him we just mainly talked about the games coming up – my games coming up and his games."
Bohannon currently has four scholarship offers from Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana-Lafayette and Alabama State and more are sure to arrive in the near future. Bohannon said he doesn't have any official visits scheduled and likely won't until after the football season comes to an end.
"I don't really have a Top 5 because only four schools have offered me," Bohannon said. "But if I go by the schools that I talk to a lot – I don't really have a number one – I like Florida, Alabama, Louisville, Kentucky. There not in any order, those are just the schools that I like."
"I don't have a leader right now," added Bohannon.
So what has the athletic pass rushing specialist interested in playing for Louisville and terrorizing Big East quarterbacks?
"They haven't been losing much and they are an up and coming program," Bohannon said. "And their (conference) is getting stronger so Louisville's one of the teams NFL (scouts) look at."
Bohannon said he'll consider a wide range of factors, from academics to early playing time, when it comes time to make his decision.
"If they have my major and I'm kind of looking at location," said Bohannon, who is interested in studying Sports Medicine and Computer Science. "And my chances of playing. I'm not worried about who's coming in or who's there but I want to know that they'll give me a chance to play early. I want to have the chance to compete for playing time."
Bohannon, who says he's faced double teams this year, has four sacks on the season. He recorded 33.5 sacks the past two seasons. Bohannon received honorable mention All-State honors as a junior.
