University of Louisville senior forward Juan Palacios suffered a knee injury in the Cardinals' second practice of the season on Saturday morning and will be sidelined 4-6 weeks.

University of Louisville senior forward Juan Palacios suffered a knee injury in the Cardinals' second practice of the season on Saturday morning and will be sidelined 4-6 weeks.

A magnetic resonance imaging test (MRI) at Jewish Hospital revealed a tear in the medial collateral ligament (MCL) in Palacios' right knee. The injury will not require surgery.

A 6-8 senior from Medellin, Columbia, Palacios is a three-year starter for the Cardinals. He was fourth on the team in scoring last season (8.9 points per game) and was the Cardinals' third-leading rebounder.
