Tyreke Evans is looking forward to stepping on the court at Freedom Hall Friday night and showing Louisville fans why Rick Pitino has made him a top priority recruit this year.
"I'm going to bring my A game tonight – I'm going to bring everything out tonight," Evans said.
Pitino has invested much effort recruiting Evans the past few years and the 6'5 guard from American Christian in Aston, PA, says there are many reasons he's considering attending Louisville next season.
"There's a lot of reasons that I like Louisville," Evans said. "I like the school and Coach Pitino is a great guy and he knows what he's doing and he can get me to the next level. Hopefully when it comes down to it that will probably be my decision."
Evans said he watches Louisville on television as often as he can and he's rooting for Derrick Caracter and Earl Clark, whom he calls friends, this year.
"I think I'd fit in very well at (Louisville)," Evans said. "I've got a couple of friends on the team – D.C. and Earl. Hopefully they'll do good this year and keep winning."
Evans said he's still considering Louisville, Memphis, Villanova, UConn and Texas. "I took a visit to Texas and I've been to Villanova," Evans said. "I'm going to take a (visit) to Memphis and back here (Louisville) to check it out again because I've haven't been here since last year."
Evans' teammate, Lamont Jones has been working on the star guard for the Cardinals. Jones, a point guard in the Class of 2009, verbally committed to Louisville several months ago.
"He tells me a lot to come to the Ville," Evans said. "He's a good teammate. This is his first year here and we get along pretty good and we help each other on the court."
