Seattle-native Terrence Williams has been a great asset for Rick Pitino the past few seasons. Now, the Louisville coach hopes to land another star from the Emerald City – 5'11 junior point guard Peyton Siva.

The highlight for Siva, rated the No. 5 point guard in his class by Scout.com, was watching Louisville's 59-51 white-out victory Saturday night over sixth-ranked Georgetown.

"It was a good atmosphere and it was fun," Siva said. "The crowd was crazy. I had never seen anything like that before. Everybody really supported the team. It's a big basketball town. It was sold-out and everybody was loud."

While in town, Siva watched Louisville practice, met with head coach Rick Pitino and hung out with Williams and the Cardinals.

"I watched them practice and just hung around with Terrence," Siva said. "I thought the practice was good. They worked hard."

It's clear that Siva is Pitino's top point guard prospect in the Class of 2009. While Siva was in town for the weekend, Pitino, had a very simple message for the extremely talented 5'11 junior.

"He's real nice," Siva said of Pitino, who traveled to the west coast last month to watch Siva play. "(He's) very straight-forward. He said ‘we want you here.' I think I'd fit in good because it's the same system as my high school team."

Not only does Siva hail from the same city as Louisville's Williams, he also plays for the same AAU program – Rotary Select – during the summer.

"We're real close," Siva said. "He's a cool dude from Seattle. He loves it in (Louisville) and says it's like home."

While his unofficial visit to Louisville speaks volumes about his interest in the Cardinals, especially when considering he made the trip on his own dime, Siva's not quite ready to name favorites or make a decision.

"I still like Louisville, Arizona and Kansas," Siva said. "I'll probably make a decision after my high school season."

Siva said he doesn't plan to take any more visits.

This season, Siva has led his Franking HS team to an impressive 17-2 record. He's averaging about 20 points and this Tuesday he'll lead his team in the play-offs. "I'm trying to be a pure point guard and get my teammates the ball," Siva said.
