After returning home for his trip to Louisville, Jordan Love found his fifth scholarship offer in the mail Monday afternoon from the Cardinals – proving his visit was time well spent.
"I got a scholarship offer from them. I just got it today," Love said on Monday.
Love attended the Cardinals junior day Saturday with teammates Brandon Copeland and Lavelle Williams. He and his high school teammates got to tour facilities, learn about academic opportunities at UofL, talk with coaches and watch the team scrimmage.
"It was nice," Love said. "We got a lot of attention from the coaches, especially Coach (Eric) Lewis. I got to run out on the field. After that we got to walk around on a tour and talk with our position coaches. So that was really nice."
Love also got a little special attention during his visit as he got to run onto the field during practice for a meet and greet with Lewis.
"I was kind of nervous because I didn't want to interrupt practice," said Love. "But it was kind of nice. Coach Lewis told me he really liked me and that he saw my film."
Love now holds five offers from Penn State, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Louisville and Rutgers. Penn State and Wake Forest appear very strong with Love, considered one of the top prospects on the east coast. So where does the Cardinals recent offer put them on Love's list?
"Louisville's up there," Love said. "I plan to make a decision before school starts. I'm not in a big hurry because I got a couple more offers for a couple places I haven't been so it wouldn't be fair to make a decision without visiting all the schools that I have offers from."
Those two schools would be Tennessee and Rutgers. Love plans to visit both of those schools before he'll consider making a decision. "I think I'm going down to Tennessee at the end of the month and Rutgers I'm not sure," Love said.
