Another late commitment?

Kardell Dunning made the first of two planned visits to Louisville over the weekend. How did the late qualifying Bell Glades (FL) defensive back like his visit with the Cardinals? Did he make a commitment while in Louisville or is he still planning to visit Michigan before making a decision?

Dunning told InsideTheVille.com Tuesday night that he verbally committed to Louisville before leaving town and will enroll at UofL this summer.

"I committed to Louisville today," Dunning said. "I filled out registration forms and I'll be (enrolling) June 3rd. I vibed with the players and I loved it. It felt like home and they treat you like family. They've got a great athletic director and there's an opportunity to play early at my position."

A late qualifying defensive back, Dunning received late interest from several big-time programs after his coach posted video highlights on YouTube.com, including Michigan. Dunning had planned to visit Michigan but decided instead he'll play for the Cardinals next season.

"It went good," Dunning said of his visit to Louisville. "I liked the facilities. I liked the new coaching staff. They're energetic. I (spent time) with Coach English, Coach K and Coach (Eric)Lewis. I liked the whole city. I had a good time."

With limited numbers on defense this spring, Louisville has been beating the recruiting bushes for some late additions. Besides Dunning, the Cardinals also signed junior college linebacker Antwon Canady earlier this month.
