While Ingram says that Louisville isn't talking about making an offer just yet, the Cardinals do appear to be monitoring the 6-6, 290-pound lineman's progress closely.
"(Louisville) is really interested in me," Ingram said. "I've been up to Louisville four or five times. It's a great university and I had fun at the (spring game). I call (UofL assistant) Greg Nord about once a week. We talk about highlight tapes and spring camps…stuff like that."
Louisville is recruiting Ingram, who bench presses 275-pounds and squats 450-pounds, as an offensive tackle. "I do real good on pass blocking and run blocking and my footwork is good," said Ingram. "I'm trying to improve my footwork and strength this summer."
The Cardinals coaches will have an opportunity to evaluate Ingram up closely as he says he'll attend camp at UofL. "Louisville's my No. 1 because they're showing me real good love right now," said Ingram. "I like the school and it's real close to home."
Besides Louisville, Ingram is receiving interest from several BCS programs, including Kentucky, Virginia, Vanderbilt and Cincinnati. Central Michigan has also expressed interest. "I don't have any offers right now," said Ingram.
"Virginia, UK and Vanderbilt are next on my list after Louisville," said Ingram.
Ingram will attend the Nike Camp in Ohio May 9.
