"He's a real strong kid," Allen assistant Terry Gambill said. "His strengths are he's very strong and he runs well for a big man. He's run a 5.0 flat. He'll play defensive end this coming season out of the three four scheme but at the college level he's probably a defensive tackle."
Bonsu has the strength numbers in the weight room to backup those claims. Gambill said Bonsu bench presses over 30o pounds and squats over 500.
"He's exactly what the Division 1 schools are looking for at defensive tackle," Gambill said. "He's got several offers already from Division 1 schools, Louisville being one of them."
"I know they really like what they have seen and have offered him a full scholarship to come to the University of Louisville," Gambill said. "(Tony) recruits the Dallas/Fort Worth area and does a great job."
Bonsu earned first team All-District and All-Region honors as a junior. He's also solid in the classroom. "He's got great academics and scored really well on the ACT," Gambill said. "He's a great student."
As a junior, Bonsu made 41 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss.
