Higgs says he is planning to take an unofficial visit to Louisville this summer and he is looking as several factors to help him make his decision.
"I am looking for a good football program. A good education, a school where I feel I can fit in," added Antwon.
Also it will not hurt that Louisville does feature a roster with a number of players from Florida.
"It would be good to have some guys from my area that I know, or that I have heard of. When you go to college for four years you will meet a lot of new people. But it is always good to know people from your own area," continued Higgs.
Listed at a stout 6-2, 249 lbs Antwon says he could be moved to a new position in college.
"Yeah I am be recruited as a linebacker, but a lot of coaches are recruiting me as a LB/DE. A guy where I can lineup as a rush end on some down, and maybe drop back in coverage other times," said Higgs. "Basically I play sideline to sideline. I have natural instincts on the football field."
Antwon has received a ton in interest and has collected several offers to date. "I have 10 offers right now they are South Carolina, FIU, Louisville, West Virginia, Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, Wisconsin, NC State, Arkansas State, and Purdue," said Higgs.
Having put up very solid numbers his junior season with 120 tackles and 6 sacks Higgs says he still has plenty to work on this summer. "I want to work on my 40 time. I need to learn to work harder, and continue to work on my strength and my speed. I know that there are other people out there that are stronger and faster, and that is why I have to keep working," said Higgs.
Antwon says he has a few linebackers from the south that he looks up to and one in particular. "My favorite linebackers are Dan Morgan, Ray Lewis, and Adelius Thomas. Especially Adelius Thomas because he is a big linebacker that also plays defensive end," said Higgs.
Antwon says he plans on taking all five of his official visits and will look to make a decision near the end of the football season.
