"I am still open right now and my top 5 can still change. And if there is a school that I really like they can still get there. Right now I'm still undecided," said Custis.
One of the schools trying to make headway into the picture is the University of Louisville. Davon has been offered a full ride, but up to this point he is not personally familiar with the Cardinal program. Davon says he wants to learn more about the Louisville program.
"I really do not know much about them right now. I want to learn more about the program then I will have a better idea of what they are all about."
Davon is not only a standout on the gridiron, but also in the class room as he currently is carrying a 3.7 core GPA, and a 24 on the ACT. And there are several factors that will play a big role in the recruitment said Custis.
"I'm of course looking for academics first. A school with good tradition, and where I am going to have a good time. You know basically my social life," Davon said.
Custis will continue to entertain offers until he is ready to narrow things down. And he says that the process will begin soon.
"I'm going to narrow it down over the summer, and then I would like to make a decision by Christmas," he said.
Davon says that he is planning some unofficial visits for this summer as he will try to make it to Boston College, Stanford, and a couple of other stops. Custis is a bright, well spoken, and intelligent young man who will be a great representative for which ever school he chooses.
