Cincinnati DB making visit to Louisville

Sycamore (OH) DB Steve Hull is very interested in the University of Louisville. So much in fact he is making the trip down I-71 for a visit. And he had plenty to say about Louisville and his decision process.

The University of Louisville is once again flexing its muscles in the Cincinnati area. The Queen City has been good to Louisville the past several years. With current and future stars on the roster such as Eric Wood and Darius Ashley it was only a matter of time for the next generation of prospects.

The next up could be Sycamore (OH) DB Steve Hull. Steve who is being recruited by Louisville for the defensive backfield had a lot to say about his interest in UofL.

"Louisville is a great program. It's a school that is relatively close to home, but not too close. It's a nice campus, a good coaching staff, and a good foundation," said Hull. "I'm taking a visit up there tomorrow to look at the campus more, and to look at the facilities a lot more. And to see what I am getting myself into if I take it (offer). I'm excited about it. Really excited about it," Hull continued.

And when asked about the other players from the Cincinnati area Steve had one person in particular he mentioned. "I know Darius Ashley. I have known him since grade school. We have talked about it (attending Louisville)."

Hull currently has offers from Cincinnati, Akron, Ohio, Eastern Michigan, Marshall, and Louisville. Illinois Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State, Miami (OH), and Kentucky are also showing interest in Hull as well.

Steve says that there are several factors that will play into his decision. "I want to get the right education for me because football won't last forever. The campus and the environment with the fan support and the students have to be good. The drive to the school is important. My parents have to be able to drive to all of my games. The coaches and the coaching staff makes a big difference. Coaches that like to talk with you and meet face to face. And seeing the direction of the program and the facilities. Gaining and becoming a better football programs is important also."

And while in Louisville tomorrow Steve is considering taking advantage of the high school camps going on the weekend at UofL. "I'm thinking about going out there and working. Getting a chance to go out there to work with the coaches. Seeing how they coach, and so they can see how I work," he continued.

Hull says that he played on both sides of the ball this past season. But that Louisville is recruiting him as a defensive back. "The offer is for DB. Last season I had 8 interceptions and that number led the city and the region" said Hull.

Steve says he will begin cut downs on his list shortly. "I hope to narrow down my schools down this month. Then my ideal situation would be to make my decision before school starts. That way I can clear my head and focus on the season," said Hull.
