"I currently have offers from Arkansas, Louisville, Maryland, North Carolina State, Mississippi State, and East Carolina," said Lartey. "I am trying to make some visits, but I don't know where to right now."
Two schools immediately jump off the page for most Louisville fans. Of course the home team Cardinals having already placed an offer on the table is great. Also facing former coach Bobby Petrino on the recruiting trail with Arkansas will be interesting. But to this point Lartey maintains that he is still wide open and hold no favorites.
When speaking to Emmanuel about Louisville specifically he says he still has research to do.
"I have not been up to their (Louisville) campus yet, but I would like to take a visit," said Lartey.
W hen it comes to making visits Lartey says he wants to take full advantage.
"I am planning on taking all five of my official visits. I am looking for a school with a good record. And a school that is close to home, but not that close," Lartey continued.
Take one look at his scout.com highlights within his profile and you will see that the 5 foot 11 inch 170 pound Lartey is a playmaker. And Emmanuel says that he has skills that coaches covet.
"I'm good in coverage. That is what I am really good at," said Lartey. "But I need to work on using my hands more in coverage that is what I need to work on."
Lartey is coming off a season that saw him post 34 tackles 3 interceptions and 1 defensive touchdown. And Lartey hopes to improve upon those numbers this upcoming season.
Unfortunately for coaches and fans alike that are hoping for a swift commit Lartey are out of luck.
"I am probably going to wait until after the season to narrow my list down to five schools. But I will probably make a decision before signing day, "said Lartey.
