Middleton taking second look at recruitment

GA Tight End Will Middleton has reopened his recruitment. After his recent commitment to South Carolina he decided that he needed to check out a few more options before making a final decision. Louisville is on his mind he had good things to say about the program and his thought process.

Kell (GA) TE Will Middleton made a commitment to the University of South Carolina back in early May. Then in the past week things changed for the 6-5 235 pound pass catcher from Marietta, GA. So what happened?

"I went to camp and worked out for them, and I had a change of heart. I made a quick decision and I want to really look at all my options," said Middleton.

Middleton says that he is looking at six schools currently for his services.

"The schools that I am considering right now are Rutgers, Louisville, Arkansas, Maryland, Mississippi State, and Indiana. I currently only have an offer from Rutgers," said Middleton.

Will says that he is quite familiar with the Cardinal program and one thing in particular that he likes about Louisville.

"I like the way that they run their offense, and the way that they throw the ball. It seems that they use their tight end a good bit, and I want to be a tight end that can get the ball a good bit," said Middleton.

While Middleton has not to this point visited Louisville he says that he is in the process of setting up plans to make some visits.

"I am in the middle of planning visits out. I really just got started back looking at schools this week and the only plans we had were for South Carolina so we are still getting things together," mentioned Middleton.

Will says that there are a few key factors that will go into selecting a school the second time around.

"The way they use the tight end, and the type of program they have. The type of coaches they have, and just a school that I feel like I could see myself at for four or five years," said Middleton.

Middleton is coming off a season where he made 25 catches for 360 yards and 2 touchdowns.

"Going over the middle of the field to make the tough catches, and running routes are my strengths," said Middleton. "And I need to continue to work on my blocking."

Will says that he is planning to take all five official visits, and he hopes to have a decision by the end of those visits.
