Ohio OL an enforcer on the field

Three-Star OL John Prior has everything you would like in a big offensive lineman. The Portsmouth (OH) lineman has a mean streak and plays with passion. He is in the process of narrowing down schools in the process, and Louisville is on his hit list of stops to make this fall.

John Prior has a rough, mean and a nasty attitude on the football field. And that is what you are looking for when you are searching for help on the offensive line. Dan says there is a simple way to describe his game.

"I am known as just being a strong physical get after people kind of player," said Prior. "I want to work on my fatigue level I want to play 100 percent of the time this year. I want to play every play and snap this year. I want to become one of the roughest players to come out of Portsmouth."

And when John looks for assistance on his preparation in going to the next level he has a great role mode to pattern himself after.

"One guy that I look up to is Gerald Cadogan he graduated from my school and is currently on the outland trophy list," said Prior. "He has everything going for him and I like the way he plays. I look up to him and talk to him about what college is going to be like and what to expect."

John is receiving a ton of interest right now from all over, but he still maintains he is open in his recruitment.

"Currently I have offers from Marshall, Akron, Ohio, Kent State, Miami (OH), Syracuse, North Carolina, Stanford, Florida State, Louisville, West Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Purdue," said Prior.

And when speaking about Louisville specifically John says that he is doing his homework.

"The interest is definitely there. I didn't know much about Louisville, but lately I have been doing a lot of research on Louisville and the more I learn the more I am interested," said Prior. "I have not been there for a visit. We are going to try to get up there for a visit, but nothing has been finalized yet."

Prior says that he will be looking for a school that will feed both his academic and football hunger.

"Well what I am looking for academic wise is a school with a strong criminal justice field because that is what I want to major in. Second is a strong football team a major team that is recognized," said Prior.

Prior says that he is done with his camping schedule but there are a couple of visits on the horizon.

"Camps I am done with for the summer, but I know we are going to Florida, Florida State, and Indiana for sure," said Prior.

Prior says that right now he is just sitting back and evaluating each of the schools at this time, and his decision timeline might be pushed back a little.

"I do plan on taking on all five of my official visits, and I want to narrow down my top before the season starts," said Prior. "And I want to have my decision made half way through my season after my official visits are completed."
