"The proximity of the school really doesn't matter. The location itself is what I'll factor in the end. The most important factor for me when I make my decision will be the head coach. I'll decide which head coach I like the most."
"I'd say Alabama," Christophe said. "I get a lot of letters from them. I've talked to them a lot. After that I'd say it's Louisville. Between those two, they've shown me the most interest outside of a school that's offered."
Christophe is a native of New Orleans, and he admits growing up a fan of LSU. An offer from the Tigers could change things.
"An offer from LSU would definitely be something to think about," he said. "That's a big reason that I have Alabama on my list, because of Nick Saban."
"I really like schools like Alabama and Florida State, but an LSU offer would make things harder. It'd be hard for me to say that I wouldn't like an offer from them."
Christophe has already visited two camps and has two more in mind.
"I've been to Alabama and Georgia," he said. "I'm going to Florida State for sure. That'll be July 14th. I'll probably catch Auburn's camp on the way down to Florida State. Auburn's camp will be on the 12th (July)."
Christophe participated in the Under Armour/Scout.com combine a few weeks ago. He believes his performance in testing was solid, but the limited football contact diminished his overall performance.
"I think that I did pretty good at the combine" he commented. "I was a little disappointed about my vertical. I think that I did pretty good on my L-Cone. The testing wasn't my best that day."
"I wish that we had been able to do more contact there. That's where I would've made my mark. I've done very well in all of the one-on-ones at every camp that I've been to."
Christophe believes his strength lies in his feet.
"My footwork is my best thing," he said. "I'm still learning all of the techniques. Every single coach that I've talked to has talked to me about my footwork. At every camp that I've been to they've mentioned that."
Woodstock High School finished 5-5 in 2007. Christophe has a winning mentality, and truly feels they have a shot this year.
"We are prepared to go undefeated," he said. "We have been preparing for that since the end of last year. I go to all of these camps and see these guys that have won titles. I feel that I can win one, too. I'm gonna do everything in my power to help our team this year."
