Dangerfield, a hard-hitting corner who has intercepted 14 passes the past two seasons, has strong interest in the Cardinals. In April, Dangerfield visited Louisville for junior day. Later this month, the talented defensive back plans to lock down an offer during his second trip to Louisville.
"I talk to Louisville about once or twice a week," Dangerfield said. "I talk to Coach Bill Miller. We talk about school, life and football. We communicate very well and get along really good.
"He said they're looking at me right now at corner. (Miller) said the DB coach (Eric Lewis) and Coach (Ron) English really like my film. They want to see me perform well in person and they want me to come up to camp. I'm flying up their (for camp) and then flying back that same night."
Would an offer from the Cardinals speed up Dangerfield's decision-making process? "It would stay the same because I want to stay open for a little while longer," said Dangerfield, whose lone offer is from Florida International. "I would definitely take it into consideration and I would really be happy with that offer."
Dangerfield has had a busy summer, attending camps at FIU, Auburn. He also performed well at the O-D Select Camp, securing an invitation to the O-D Elite Camp later this summer.
"I went to FIU and Auburn and I just came from the O-D Select Camp and I got invited to the O-D Elite Camp," Dangerfield said. "I did great at Auburn's camp. They said they liked the way I played and they're going to watch me during my season."
