Kadima receiving interest from Louisville

Chim Kadima is an athletic combo guard in the Class of 2010. The 6-foot-4 Milwaukee (Wisc.) Lutheran standout is receiving interest from Louisville and Cardinals assistant Richard Pitino eyed him last week at the Kentucky HoopFest.

A long and rangy athlete, Kadima, who plays for the Wisconsin Playground Warriors, is getting quite a lot of attention from college programs. "I'm hearing from Clemson, Arizona State, Louisville, Marquette, Iowa State, Miami, DePaul and Notre Dame," Kadima told InsideTheVille.com. Kadima claims offers from Iowa State, UW-Green Bay and Milwaukee.

Kadima is familiar with Louisville. He plays for the same AAU program as current Louisville star Jerry Smith and has been receiving mailings from the Cardinals for a while.

"I'm interested in Louisville," Kadima said. "I know Jerry Smith that played in Milwaukee so I'm familiar with the program through him. Louisville has sent me booklets and stuff like that."

Capable of playing both the one and two, Kadima likes to attack the basket off the bounce and brings plenty of hustle and energy at the defensive end. "I bring intensity and just try to keep the team intense," Kadima said. "I'm trying to improve my post-up game and defense. I'm a combo-guard."

Kadima said he's keeping his options open and doesn't plan to get serious about his recruitment until next year. He has taken unofficial visits recently to Marquette and UW-Green Bay.
