As a junior last season, Alexander rushed for more than 1,300 yards and 18 touchdowns. The 5-11, 160-pound Alexander has worked hard this summer to produce better numbers this season.
"The strongest part of my game is my eyes. I think I see the field extremely well and I also have good hands. I have been working this summer on my quickness and running harder," said Alexander. "I am working on hitting the hole at full speed and kicking it into that next gear. I am also going out and catching 200 balls a day to make sure my hands are ready to catch anything thrown my way."
Alexander patterns his game after two current National Football League stars.
"There are two guys that I look up to and really model my game after. That would be L.T. (Ladanian Tomlinson) and Devin Hester," said Alexander.
Alexander is receiving a ton of interest from around the country but has decided to focus his attention on six BCS programs.
"The schools I am interested in right now are Louisville, Arkansas, Tennessee, Indiana, Florida State, and Miami. I have offers from Louisville, Arkansas, and Indiana so far and I the others schools are still evaluating me," said Alexander.
To this point, Alexander says that all the schools are even, though he says he's particularly interested in Louisville. Alexander plans to visit the Cardinals this season.
"My interest in Louisville is very high. I was actually checking out a website getting info on the university both academically and athletically and I was very impressed. I am going to take an official visit during the season," said Alexander.
Besides his ability on the football field, Morgan is also an exceptional student in the classroom.
"The most important thing I am looking at now is academics in a school. Then the athletics as far as looking at the roster and if that is a place where I can come in and make an impact or possibly start. And I am also looking at the facilities at the school," said Alexander.
Alexander did not do much camping this summer, opting to hit the weights and get stronger this off-season. He did make it up to Tennessee for their camp and turned in good results.
Morgan says that to this point he has not decided whether he will take all five of his official visits before making a college decision.
"As far as a decision goes I am kind of playing it by ear to this point. I am not sure when I will make a commitment. I will make a decision when I feel comfortable," said Alexander.
