"I'll be going both ways this season," Josh Brown said. "I'll play cornerback in college though. That's what I'm getting recruited as."
Brown, 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, plays quarterback on offense and believes that will help him on defense when he plays there for the first time this season.
"Having played quarterback, I know what they're doing, what they're thinking," he said. "I know the different things to do to confuse him."
On the recruiting front, Brown is bringing in the offers. He said his offer total is close to a dozen.
"I have a few," he said. "I got schools like Indiana, Wake Forest, FAU, FIU, South Florida, Syracuse, Iowa, Louisville, Army, schools like that. I haven't even started to narrow it down any because I haven't taken my visits to figure out which ones I like the most."
Brown does have two schools on his list that stand out above the others.
"I really like Wake Forest and Louisville," he said. "Those are my top two. I have family that went to Wake Forest and it seems like a good school. Louisville is a great school and they have a great football program. I'm looking forward to visiting both schools."
One of the local schools has commitments from a couple of Brown's friends. He talked about that.
The talented cornerback prospect talked about some of the things he'll be looking for in a school.
"I'll be looking at the graduation rates, how comfortable I feel there, and how much my family likes it too," he said.
Inside the classroom, the two-star prospect claims a 2.9 GPA and a 23 ACT score.
