Moffett plans closer look at Louisville

Louisville's defense is off to a good start in 2008 and several talented prospects have taken notice. One player, three-star Chicago (Ill.) Hubbard linebacker Darius Moffett, plans to take a closer look at the Cardinals this fall before making a college decision.

One of the early bright spots in the University of Louisville's 2008 campaign has been the outstanding play of its young linebacking corps.

The play of the Louisville defense early this year has been noticed by several prospective defensive recruits, including Chicago star linebacker Darius Moffett. Moffett plans to check out Louisville with one of his five allotted official visits before he makes a college decision.

"I am still thinking about a couple of visits, but I know I will be taking an official visit to Louisville, Cincinnati, and Illinois," said three-star linebacker Darius Moffett. "I want to visit Ohio State, but they are not recruiting me that heavily right now so I am not sure about them."

At 6-3 225 pounds, Moffett has the size and athletic ability to make an impact early. Moffett says that he had a very fruitful summer displaying his skills at Illinois camp. He also concentrated on improving his speed to get him ready for his senior campaign.

At the moment, Darius has no firm visit schedule in place.

"I am not sure when I will be taking visits. I am still talking to my mentor about it so I don't know yet," said Moffett. "But I am probably going to decide when my season is over."
