Emmanuel Lartey, a shutdown corner from College Park (GA) Banneker, has narrowed his list and his recruitment has come into focus. Lartey currently has three BCS programs on top of his list and plans to visit all three schools this season.
Standout cornerback Emmanuel Lartey
is ready to make some power moves in his recruitment. While he initially thought about waiting until after the season to get serious about his recruitment, Lartey now plans to move faster with the process.
"Right now it's Louisville, Arkansas, and Mississippi State. Those are the ones that are coming at me the hardest," said Lartey. "I like them all equally, and I really like each of (their) coaches."
Lartey says that he will make official visits to each of his aforementioned favorites as well West Virginia and East Carolina. "I am waiting for my bye week. That would be around the middle of the season," Lartey mentioned.
While Lartey plans to make several visits during the season, one thing has not changed - he still plans to make his decision after the season.
"I am going to wait and commit on signing day," said Lartey.
This season, Lartey has started strong.
"Things have gone well so far," he said. "We are 1-1 and we have Northgate (GA) coming up next. I got about 8 tackles so far, but they don't throw it my way."
