Louisville opened Hosley's eyes

Louisville hosted one recruit on an official visit this weekend – talented three-star CB Jayron Hosley. Hosley, Scout.com's No. 53-ranked corner, came away impressed with the Cardinals and the visit definitely helped Louisville's cause.

"The visit went real well," Jayron Hosley told InsideTheVille.com. "The coaches were real cool. It was a nice campus and practice facility. They showed me a lot of love. I got to meet the players and they spoke good about the coaches and the team. They showed me a good time up there."

Woodny Turenne, Louisville's starting cornerback, served as Hosley's host. Turenne, a senior, could be replaced by the Delray Beach (FL) Atlantic standout.

"He told me a lot about the DB coach and the defensive coordinator," said Hosley. "He told me that the coaches are for real and spoke highly of Coach (Ron) English and Coach (Eric) Lewis. He said they really care about you and want to see you get better and really take care of you. He told me it's a good place to be and that Louisville is a good program academically and on the field."

As the only recruit on campus this weekend for the Cards, Hosley received considerable attention from the Louisville coaching staff.

"I got one on one time with Coach English and Coach Lewis and I got to hear their views how I could add to their defense," Hosley said. "Most of their defense is based around man and I'm a man-corner. They feel that I can come in and play right away and help their defense. And that's something I'm considering."

Did the visit help Louisville's cause? "It did," Hosley said. "Louisville really opened my eyes. But even though everything was good I'm still going to take some more visits. But Louisville really opened my eyes and showed me a lot of love. They really have a program that has a lot to offer me. I was really, really impressed with (Louisville)."

Hosley said he's planning to visit Georgia in October, South Florida in December and Clemson sometime before national signing day. Along with Louisville, those four schools standout for Hosley. "Right now those are the schools I'm really considering," Hosley said.
