Louisville a favorite for Privott's teammate

Louisville just offered Norfolk (VA) Lake Taylor linebacker Travis Williams, a star junior teammate of Cardinal commit Mike Privott. Privott's decision to play for Louisville could be a major influence on the 6-foot-3, 195-pound Williams.

"Louisville offered today," Travis Williams told InsideTheVille.com Monday evening "Coach Eric Lewis came to the school today (Monday). I really like that offer because they want me to play outside linebacker rather than safety."

Williams said Privott's decision to play for Louisville could influence his choice in a college. The two are high school teammates and close friends. In fact, when Privott makes his official visit to Louisville for the Middle Tennessee game next month with his family, Williams will tag along for the ride.

"I don't want to go to a school where I'll feel alone at," said Williams said. "So being that Mike Privott is at Louisville is a big factor. I'm going to Louisville with (Privott) October 16 for a visit."

Louisville, along with NC State and West Virginia, comprise the talented Williams Top 3. "Right now I like NC State, Louisville and West Virginia," Williams said. "I like NC State because they run the same scheme I run in high school and the facilities look nice. West Virginia has a lot of speed and character on the team."

Besides Louisville, Williams claims offers from Penn State, NC State, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. Williams visited NC State for the ECU game and also has plans to visit Penn State later this season when the Nittany Lions host Nevada.
