Louisville a finalist for three-star DT Lott

Next season, Louisville is looking at a major hole to fill in the interior defensive line. Athletic North Cobb (GA) DT Derrick Lott could be a vital piece of the puzzle. Lott is making plans and an official visit to Louisville could be in the works.

For stud DT Derrick Lott life must be good right now. He is having an excellent start to his senior season and big things look to be waiting on the horizon.

"It going pretty good right now we are 2-2 so far, and we are looking to go undefeated the rest of the way out," said Lott. "I am doing well so far through four games I have 36 total tackles."

Derrick is also having great success on the recruiting front as well as he is being heavily pursued by some major programs.

"I went to the Georgia game Saturday, and I am looking at going to the VanderbiltAuburn game this Saturday. Right now I am looking seriously at South Carolina, Georgia, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, and Louisville," said Lott.

Lott says that he is very interested in Louisville and to take a closer look at the program.

"I have been talking to Coach Greg Nord and I am supposed to be taking an official visit there soon," said Lott.

Derrick is planning on making all five of his official visits before making a decision and a lot will come down to how those visits go.

"I want to look at the game and how that goes. I want to get to know the players, coaches, and just check out the atmosphere," said Lott. "I don't really have any favorites right now. It's basically just going to come down to the visits."
