Boca Ciega (FL) DE Julius Forte is looking for a perfect fit. He has already made two of his official visits this fall and knows the next two visit up on his hit list.
"I have taken two visits so far. My first one was to Purdue and my second one was to North Carolina State," said Forte. "I do know I have two visits coming up. I have Louisville on the 19th of October for the Middle Tennessee game, and I have a visit with Ole Miss also. The fifth official visit is still up in the air and I will go to one of the other schools that have offered me."
Forte is being recruited to Louisville by assistant coach Tony Alford. He says he is familiar with Louisville and is aware of the program's history and success with developing talented edge rushers.
"They (Louisville) have been a strong team in the past and they have been very strong at defensive end," said Forte.
The 6-2, 235 pound Forte had good things to say about his first two official visits and is also looking ahead to his next two visits. Here's what he had to say about some of the programs on his favorites list:
Purdue – "When I visited Purdue for the Oregon game and that was a pretty close game that went to overtime. They have a really strong fan base, and they have a really Purdue oriented town.
N.C. State – "I went up to N.C. State and it was very similar to Purdue. I went up there for the USF game and even though it didn't go the way they wanted they have a really cool coaching staff and also players. They just have a really good team atmosphere."
Ole Miss – "Actually I'm not going to lie they are doing big things right now they beat Florida. They actually have a few guys on the team that are from my town and they always have good things to say about the school. I keep in touch with Coach Vaughn. He is a really cool guy and I am really interested in seeing what they have going on down there."
Forte isn't rushing a decision and wants to consider all his options before selecting a college. One issue that will not come up much is early playing time.
"Of course it is something that I am interested in, but it is not a high priority of mine. When you go to a school they are going to give you playing time based on the effort you put into it. You get out of it what you put into it," said Forte. "I feel that whatever school I go to I am going to put out effort and I will get the playing time that I deserve whether that is a lot or a little."
Forte claims no leaders for his services and insists there is not a timetable for a decision.
"More than likely I will probably make a decision closer to signing day, but I am not going to put any limitations on myself," said Forte. "If I really have that feeling in my gut that I find the place that I want to be I will go ahead and commit. But I will have to know it is right before I make a decision."
