"It was great. I liked the facilities and the team. The people there love their team. And everybody was excited for them to play. So that was fun," said Thomas. "I wanted to see the school and what the team was like as well as the atmosphere. I got to tour the dorms and the facilities."
Thomas' trip to Louisville was his first. Was the environment everything he thought it would be?
"It was my first visit to Louisville and they had everything I was looking for," said Thomas. "They showed us the weight room and how they are going to train us. They showed us how they are going to build us up and get us better. And as far as the education part they showed us the business classes and all that."
While Louisville seems to still have the lead in his recruitment, Thomas did say that a new Big East program has entered the fray.
"I recently picked up an offer from UConn. They got involved with me just a couple of weeks ago. They wanted me to come up there on an official visit to check out the campus and things," said Thomas. "But I don't know much about them though because they just started recruiting me."
What Thomas does know is that he will be taking a couple more official visits before making a final decision.
"I am definitely going to take a trip to Marshall and I am also going to visit UConn. Me and Brandon Sharpe are going to go up there together," said Thomas. "Then I will make a commitment after the season."
Thomas said that a chance to play early will be the main factor in his decision.
