Louisville one of Aycock's finalists

Dontae Aycock's current focus is on the high school playoffs and the talented Tampa (FL) Chamberlin running back won't take his official visits until after the new year. Still, Aycock has a definite plan for his recruitment and four schools he's giving strong consideration.

"I plan on taking all of my visits in January," Dontae Aycock said. "My focus is on my team right now and hopefully we play through the playoffs in the month of December."

Aycock, 5-foot-10 and 210 pounds, doesn't have any exact dates set yet for those visits but does know where he will be visiting.

Georgia Tech, South Carolina, West Virginia, and Louisville," he said. "I don't have one that stands out over the others. That's why I wanna take my visits, to see what it's like."

Aycock spoke about each of his four favorites.

Georgia Tech -- "I like how they're a physical team. They run the same offense that we do here in high school and they're the only one of the four recruiting me as a quarterback. If I went there, I'd be real familiar with the system. They were one of the first schools to recruit me and one of my good friends, Anthony Allen, goes there. I like Georgia Tech a lot."

South Carolina -- "They want me as a running back. A friend of mine (Kylan Robinson) went there on a visit a couple years ago and really liked it. I know Jarvis Giles is thinking about going there after what happened with the Tennessee situation."

West Virginia -- "They offered me real early and they're always following up with me. They've been on me a long time."

Louisville -- "They're recruiting me real hard. My recruiting coach is also the running backs coach so that would be nice if I went there. Anthony said even though he left he really liked it there. He left because he didn't wanna play the new position they wanted him to play but he has a lot of good things to say about the school, the area, and everything."

Aycock has helped lead his team to a 9-1 record and a district championship. He's completed 50-percent of his passes for 1,189 yards, 11 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He's also added 1,046 yards and 21 touchdowns on the ground.
