Sharpe still looking for an offer?

Brandon Sharpe, a 6'2, 218-pound linebacker from Virginia Beach (VA) Ocean Lakes, was looking for an offer from Louisville during his visit over the weekend. Did the Cardinals come through with a scholarship for one of the leading sack specialists in Virginia?

"It was pretty exciting. I liked it. It was a lot of fun," Brandon Sharpe said of his visit to Louisville. "The coaches were telling me about the campus and the football and how they're rebuilding. The fan base got pretty into the football game and they love Louisville and the football players. I liked their facilities and I liked their Business School – they're in the Top 50 in the nation. Louisville is basically the Cardinals."

Sharpe was eager to talk to Louisville defensive coordinator Ron English and the UofL coaching staff about a scholarship offer.

"They didn't talk much about an offer but they were talking like they wanted me to come there," Sharpe said. "They really didn't tell me about an offer or committing. They asked me who I thought I was going to commit to and if I liked their school and if I would commit there."

How did he answer that question? "I said I have some more visits I want to go on before I make my decision," Sharpe said.

Sharpe only has one other visit scheduled to Louisville's conference rival – Connecticut. "On December 6 I'm going to Connecticut," said Sharpe. "It's probably going to come down to those two schools (Louisville and Connecticut) unless I get some more visits. I like Connecticut's football program but I haven't seen their campus or anything yet."

What's going to be the most important factor in Sharpe's college decision?

"Education," Sharpe said.
