Sharpe gets new offer; Names favorite

Brandon Sharpe, a LB/DE from Virginia Beach (VA) Ocean Lakes, received an in-home visit from Louisville coach Steve Kragthorpe last week. The 6-2 218 pound athlete is still making his way through the recruiting process, but some big news from Kragthorpe during that visit could pay dividends for the Cardinals in the near future.

While on his official visit,Brandon Sharpe said he was not extended an official offer from the Louisville coaching staff. Well, Steve Kragthorpe changed that during a recent visit to Sharpe's home.

"I had an in home visit from Louisville and also from the University of Delaware. And Louisville gave me an offer during the visit," said Sharpe.

At this point, Sharpe says that Louisville is looking at him as possibly a rush end or linebacker. According to Sharpe, Louisville is an attractive option.

"Louisville has one of the top 10 business schools in the country so that is really big for me," said Sharpe. "I don't really have a time table at this point to make a decision, but Louisville is my leader."

Sharpe says that he is still looking to make some more visits before making a decision. He's already visited Louisville. Now he wants to compare a few more schools to what the Cardinals have to offer.

"I was supposed to go on a visit to Connecticut but that trip got cancelled. So I am not sure what happened with that but right now I have some more schools coming in to talk to me," said Sharpe. "The other schools that I am looking at right now are North Carolina State and my coach said that Penn State has been in contact this week as well."
