UPDATE: UofL hoops recruits

InsideTheVille.com has updates on Louisville signees Rakeem Buckles, Peyton Siva and Stephen Van Treese, plus all of the Cardinals 2010 and 2011 commits.

Peyton Siva scored 22 points in an 82-50 win over Seattle Ingraham (1/6). Franklin – Siva's high school team – is ranked No. 1 in the state. Franklin has a big game coming up against Rainer Beach and Aaron Dotson Jan. 23. Siva is averaging 20 points per game with a high of 33 points this season. Siva has scored over 30 points twice this season.

Rakeem Buckles had 12 points in a 68-20 win over Reagan on Jan. 5. Buckles scored 18 points in a 59-52 loss to Boyd Anderson, ranked No. 7 nationally, Friday night.

Stephen Van Treese averages 12.5 points per game this year with a season-high 21. Van Treese helped lead his team to the T-Mobile Classic title over the holidays and got 13 rebounds in a win over South Atlanta and Derrick Favors. In his most recent game, Van Treese had 19 points and 11 rebounds in a 76-63 win over East Chicago Central last Friday.

2010 commit Jeremy Tyler
averages 31 points per game.

Josh Langford scored 11 points in the first half in a 64-61 loss to South Gwinnett (GA) HS. Langford did not play in the second half because of an injury.

Jeremy Tyler is averaging 31 points per game and had back-to-back 41-point outings while leading San Diego (CA) High to a third-place finish in the National Division of the MaxPreps Holiday Classic.

Justin Martin is averaging 10.2 points with games of 18 and 19 points. Martin had 9 points Friday night against East Chicago Central.

Ryan Taylor is averaging around 7 points per game this season as a starter for nationally-ranked Lawrence North. He had a game-high 15 rebounds vs. South Atlanta in the T-Mobile Invitational finals. Taylor had 14 points, all in the first half, in a 76-63 win over East Chicago Central Friday night.

Michael Chandler sees limited time on the Lawrence North varsity.

Josh Smith (2010) scored 16 points in a 64-43 win over Auburn HS last week. Smith averages 23 points per game this year. He took an unofficial visit to Washington for the Huskies win over Stanford late last week.

Marquis Teague (2011) had 24 points and 14 assists in Indianapolis Pike's 96-75 win over Muncie Central last week. In the game before, Teague scored 26 in an 87-82 loss to East Chicago. Teague had 21 points in a 71-63 win over Perry Meridian Friday night.
