Virginia RB interested in Louisville

Antonio ‘Boogie' McCray finished the regular-season as the second leading rusher in South Hampton Roads, Virginia. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound McCray, a teammate of Louisville commit Mike Privott, is still looking for a college home.

"I'm still open and I'm going to take my time and make my decision," Boogie McCray said.

McCray rushed for 1,535 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior, while making 11 sacks from his outside linebacker position on defense. But a great senior season hasn't translated to a bunch of options on the recruiting front.

McCray wanted to commit to NC State but it didn't work out. Marshall is recruiting him and McCray recently sent his senior highlight tape to Louisville. He's hoping the Cardinals put an offer on the table.

"I had sent them my junior tape and now I'm sending them my senior tape Monday," McCray said. "The last person I talked to from Louisville was the head coach when he came down to see Priv last Friday. They're looking at me as a running back."

If Louisville likes what they see on film and offers McCray would the Lake Taylor running back be interested in joining Privott at Louisville?

"Yes, I'm interested in Louisville," said McCray.

With signing day now only a few weeks away, McCray said he still does not have any official visits planned.
