Former Louisville assistant Bill Miller was a major reason why two-star Oakland Park (FL) Northeast linebackers Isaac and Jacob Geffard committed to the Cardinals last month. Are the Geffard twins solidly committed to Louisville now that Miller has departed for Kansas?
"Absolutely," said former Northeast coach Adam Ratkevich. "They're not going in a different direction. They were definitely shocked and disappointed that Bill Miller was leaving because he was really the guy that recruited them and I've known him a long time since he's recruited this area for a lot of different schools. It's one of those things that they weren't excited about but they're not looking to go in a different direction."
Ratkevich said the Geffard twins have no plans to make any other official visits before signing day.
"I think Louisville is an opportunity for them to go to school together," Ratkevich said. "People early on were very high on Isaac and a little lukewarm on Jacob. And they were guys on the bubble academically and Bill knowing me was confident that I'd be able to get these guys through. From what I understand Louisville is still firm with everything and standing behind the kids. The kids are excited about Louisville and that's sort of where things stand."
