Change of plans for McLendon?

Omar McLendon is scheduled to make an official visit to Louisville this weekend. But a call from an SEC program on Monday has the 6-foot-6, 220-pound defensive end reconsidering his weekend official visit plans. InsideTheVille.com has the scoop.

Omar McClendon, who officially visited Troy two weeks ago and Middle Tennessee last weekend, said he'll take one more visit to either Louisville or Ole Miss this weekend before he makes his decision. An assistant coach from Ole Miss called McLendon on Monday morning and offered him the chance to visit this weekend.

"I didn't know if Ole Miss was still interested after Tracy Rocker went to Auburn," McLendon said. "He recruited me and called me every week before he left for Auburn. They called me today and asked me if I was interested in taking a visit."

Louisville assistant Ken Delgado is scheduled to make an in-home visit with McLendon on Monday night. "Coach Nord has recruited me well and came to see me as often as he could," said McLendon. "Louisville is kind of far and the recruiter coming to see me today called and said he got caught up in snow and I'm not trying to get caught up in snow. That would be the only thing about Louisville that I wouldn't like."

McLendon said he's looking to stay in the south a little closer to his home in Villa Rica, Georgia. That might benefit Middle Tennessee, who will make an in-home visit with McLendon on Thursday.

"I enjoyed it, I really did," McLendon said of his visit to Middle Tennessee. "But I told myself I wouldn't commit on my visit. Middle Tennessee is kind of my top school right now."
