Stout leaning toward Louisville?

Hunter Stout, a talented lineman from Tampa (FL) Wharton H.S., was hoping Auburn would extend a scholarship offer this weekend during his official visit. That offer didn't come from the Tigers - possible good news for the Louisville Cardinals.

Hunter Stout, a 6-foot-4, 270-pound offensive lineman from Tampa (FL) Wharton, told Mark Murphy of AUTigers.com he did not get a scholarship offer from Auburn on his official visit this weekend and that he will likely commit to the Louisville Cardinals.

"They said wait until the end of this week to get an offer," Stout told AUTigers. "Right now I don't have an offer. They said they have some other linemen they have been recruiting for a month now so they just started recruiting me. I guess they are going to wait for the other linemen."

Stout made an official visit to Louisville last weekend and told InsideTheVille.com Sunday morning that he'll return home today and discuss his options with his family.

"I've got to sit down and think about it," Stout said. "It's up in the air. I'd say I'll make a decision within the next week."

Stout has also made official visits to Western Kentucky and Florida Atlantic.

Stout, a two-star prospect, is rated the No. 103 OG nationally by Scout.com.
