McCray hopes to finalize decision on visit

Lake Taylor (VA) running back Antonio ‘Boogie' McCray sent his highlight tape to the Louisville coaches earlier this month. Last week, the Cardinals made McCray an offer. In the next few days, McCray could add his name, along with teammate Mike Privott, to Louisville's 2009 commitment list.

Boogie McCray, who rushed for 1,535 yards and 18 touchdowns, will receive a visit from a member of the UofL coaching staff on Tuesday at his high school then make an official visit to the Louisville campus this weekend.

"I got an offer from Louisville last Monday and I'm going down there Friday for an official visit," McCray said. "I think coach (Brent) Guy is coming to the school tomorrow to talk to me and (Mike) Privott about signing. I would be on my own but I'm going to ask them if (Privott) can come."

McCray said Marshall is also recruiting him, but the 6-2, 210-pound running back sounded pretty set on Louisville Monday night. If he can work out a few academic snags during his visit, McCray will likely sign with Louisville on National Signing Day, Feb. 4.

"I'm probably (going) to Louisville," McCray said. "My decision is made but it's not. It's made but I've got to see how certain things grade-wise work out. I've got to go to night school for one class and keep my grade point average up."

McCray said he will complete the night course this semester.
