Three programs remain in contention for Norfolk (VA) Lake Taylor running back Antonio ‘Boogie' McCray. McCray plans to announce his decision on National Signing Day and Louisville might have the edge to land his signature on Wednesday.
"He's still contemplating the situation and he'll announce his decision tomorrow," Lake Taylor coach Hank Sawyer told InsideTheVille.com Tuesday afternoon.
Sawyer said Marshall and Old Dominion are both in the running and Boogie McCray made visits to both schools. Last weekend, McCray made a final trip to Louisville.
"He had a really good visit to Louisville – there's no doubt," Sawyer said. "He just said he's going to make a decision on signing day."
Asked if he thought Lake Taylor linebacker Mike Privott's decision to play for Louisville would sway McCray's decision, Sawyer responded, "Yes I do."
Sawyer said Privott remains solid in his commitment to Louisville and will sign with Louisville during a ceremony at the high school that starts at 9:15 Wednesday morning. McCray will also sign an LOI at that time.
