Five-star PG visits Louisville

Marquis Teague, a five-star point guard from Indianapolis (IN) Pike, visited No. 6 Louisville Sunday for the Cardinals 62-58 win over Marquette. One of the nation's Top 10 sophomores, Teague tells InsideTheVille.com he's getting ready to make his college decision.

Sunday wasn't Teague's first visit to Louisville this season. Scout.com's No. 2-ranked 2011 point guard prospect also made an unofficial visit in January for the Cardinals win over rival Kentucky. Teague said he was impressed by Louisville's ‘White Clad' atmosphere against No. 8 Marquette.

"It was a real exciting game," Marques Teague said. "It was a big crowd and it was a fun (game) to watch. I was in the locker room before and after the game and talked to the coaches and players. We were just talking about me coming down there and watching that game – nothing about my recruitment or anything like that."

Teague's team starts sectional play Wednesday and Louisville's top 2011 point guard prospect says he's looking to make a college decision soon after his season ends.

"I'm going to make a decision after my high school season is over but I don't know the date yet," Teague said. "We're doing alright but we've lost some key games -- we're 11-8. I've been doing pretty good. I'm averaging 19 points and five assists. I've been trying to work on my jump shot this season. I've been knocking it down a lot more than I used to. It's gotten a lot better."

Where do the Cardinals stand with Teague as he closes in on a college decision?

"Louisville is one of my top schools," Teague said.

Teague said he is also considering Indiana, Wake Forest, Purdue, Cincinnati and Ohio State. "I've been to Wake Forest, IU, Purdue and Cincinnati," Teague said.

Teague's brother is a sophomore starter at Wake Forest but he says he won't be influenced by that fact. "I'm going to make the decision that is best for me."
