"I started my trips off last Saturday at Ole Miss, then Arkansas , Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky, and then Louisville," Trickett said. "I got a chance to watch practices at each of the campuses and I wanted to evaluate the quarterbacks and see how I stacked up to them."
On his trip to Arkansas, Bobby Petrino made Trickett an offer.
"Arkansas offered me so that was cool. All the trips were great but I would say that Arkansas and Western Kentucky stood out above the rest," Trickett said.
As his whirlwind tour around some of the south's powerhouse programs was coming to an end, Trickett popped in at Louisville for a visit. It was Clint's second trip to Louisville and this time he got a better feel for the Cardinals.
"I got to hang out with my buddy Victor Anderson. Then I got the chance to sit in on the quarterbacks meeting before practice with Coach Wells and Coach Kragthorpe," Trickett said. "I also had the opportunity to sit down and have a one on one with Coach Kragthorpe as well as watching a power point presentation about the University of Louisville."
Trickett seemed to enjoy his time at Louisville.
"It was a really good trip though I only got to stay there about seven hours," said Trickett. "So it wasn't as long as I wanted, but it was still a really good trip." Though Louisville didn't extend Trickett an offer during his visit, the talented signal-caller said his trip could pay dividends down the road.
"There is definitely the draw of the chance to play early there. I know some of the players there, and also the coaching staff. They have a really cool coaching staff," said Trickett. "I had been in the stadium once before, but I had never had the chance to see the inside of the football complex. They had a great locker room and the facilities were really really good."
Now that his visit tour is over, Trickett says he's in no hurry to make a decision.
"I have three offers currently from Tulsa, Western Kentucky, and Arkansas. The other schools showing me the most interest are Ole Miss, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Auburn, and South Carolina," said Trickett. "I don't really have any favorites right now....that really depends on what happens this spring. After that I am going to sit down with my family and re-evaluate my situation then. As far as my decision, I don't really know right now. I will have to see what happens and make a decision when it is right for me."
