Versatile White visits Louisville

Michael White, 6-1, 255-pound linebacker/defensive end from Indianapolis (IN) Brebeuf, has had a busy travel schedule this spring. The versatile defender has talent to play at the next level and has made several unofficial visits to college campuses in recent weeks, including one to Louisville.

White, who recorded 63 tackles and eight sacks as junior, has made visits to Ball State, Bowling Green, Illinois, Michigan State and Louisville this spring. The Cardinals told White they think he projects as a big middle linebacker and could fit nicely into Brent Guy's defensive schemes.

"After talking to the linebacker coach, Brent Guy, it is clear I could play linebacker for Louisville," White told Scout.com's Tim Adams. "Coach Guy said that I have the perfect inside linebacker size for them. He prefers a physical inside linebacker that can take on 300 pound blockers."

White, an honorable mention All-County and 3-A All-State selection as a junior, played ‘down' as a defensive end last season but will have an opportunity to play standing up as a linebacker next season. White boasts impressive strength numbers – 325 bench press, 515 squad and 36 inch vertical – but is still awaiting his first scholarship offer.
