Rashad Knight, cornerback from Jacksonville-Trinity Christian Academy, Fla., is starting to reel in several scholarship offers. BYU, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Purdue, Syracuse and Vanderbilt had joined the list, and a couple of new offers arrived last week. Knight updated the latest news with Scout.com.
"I was offered by Louisville Wednesday," said Rashad Knight. "I was kind of happy about the offer. It was a little bit surprising. I had never heard from them before. I talked to one of their coaches. He said they loved my film and decided to offer me."
Knight received an offer two days later from a second Big East program.
"Rutgers offered me Friday," he stated. "I was real happy about that offer as well. It gives me more options. I spoke to coach [Ed] Pinkham. He pretty much just asked me a lot of questions, and told me they liked my film as well."
Knight finished the 2008 season with 63 tackles and two picks on defense. He had 693 yards rushing and five scores on offense to go with nine catches for 150 yards.
