Langford clarifies status of UofL commitment

Earlier this month, Louisville lost star 2010 commit Jeremy Tyler to pro basketball. Wednesday afternoon a report surfaced that another Louisville commit, 2010 SF Josh Langford, had re-opened his recruitment. InsideTheVille.com spoke with Langford who clarified the status of his commitment to the Cardinals.

Things happen fast on the Internet. One minute a report at i95Ballerz.com quoted Louisville commit Josh Langford as re-opening his recruitment. The next, InsideTheVille.com was on the horn with Langford's AAU coach, Matt Ramker. Ramker promptly put Langford on the phone with InsideTheVille.com to nip the erroneous report in the bud.

"That report isn't true. I'm staying committed to Louisville," Langford told InsideTheVille.com Wednesday afternoon. "The reporter asked me a question if I would consider other schools and I said ‘no, I'm staying committed.' I guess he made a (mistake) when he put that out there."

"Nothing has changed. I am going to stay committed to Louisville," added Langford.

Langford, one of Scout.com's Top 100 recruits, verbally committed to Louisville last summer. Langford reiterated that he has no plans to re-open his recruitment. "There are no changes. I'm committed to Louisville."
