Football Recruiting Hot Board (New Offers)

Steve Kragthorpe and staff have been busy tending to recruiting duties this spring. The Cardinals have extended a bunch of scholarship offers in recent weeks and InsideTheVille.com breaks down some of the latest in Part One of the Football Recruiting Hot Board.

OT John Cullen, 6-6, 280, Fullerton (CA) C.C.
Bio: Cullen is one of the top offensive tackles in the California junior college ranks. He's a mid-year transfer who will have three years to play two.
Offers: Louisville and Auburn.
Other schools of interest: UCLA, Arizona State, Oregon State, Utah, Hawaii, Nevada and Florida International
Cullen says: "All the same schools are still after me and I'm hoping that more of them offer, but right now I just have the two and I'm happy with them," Cullen said. "I'm still open to anyone who wants to recruit me and offer me, but it's nice knowing I have the chance to play D-1 after I finish up this fall."
S/WR Daniel Easterly, 6-5, 195, Detroit (MI) Cass Tech.
Bio: A three-star prospect, Easterly is rated the No. 37 safety prospect by Scout.com. Recorded 73 tackles and two interceptions as a junior.
Offers: Louisville, Michigan State, Purdue, Illinois, Wisconsin, Toledo.
Easterly says: "I like (Michigan State) a lot. I had been up there before for both of my brothers (Zachary and Julian Easterly) and I liked it when they went up there already."
OL Danny Foose, 6-6, 305, Paramus (NJ) Catholic
Bio: Foose benefited greatly from the May evaluation period and with all of the schools recruiting him right now could end up doubling his offers by the time the month is over.
Offers: Louisville, Rutgers, Boston College, South Florida.
Other schools of interest: Pittsburgh, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Florida, Syracuse and Minnesota.
Mike Foti says: "Danny is very excited about the Louisville offer. He is going to give them a serious look and we will go and visit the campus this summer. He is excited about the Louisville offer but will not commit until he takes his visits and sees all the schools he is seriously considering."
WR Quantavious Leslie, 6-3, 175, Hogansville (GA) Callaways
Bio: Leslie has outstanding length, 4.5 forty speed and and a great set of hands.
Offers: Louisville, Clemson, Oklahoma State, UCF, Tennessee, West Virginia.
Leslie says: "Louisville offered me over the phone. I have a new leader now. It's Oklahoma State. Their coaches have told me a lot of great things. I'll have a great chance at early playing time, and I'll get to keep my same high school number (jersey number)."
LB Troy Gloster, 6-0, 215, Olney (MD) Good Counsil
Bio: As a junior, Gloster recorded 60 tackles and nine sacks. Gloster's brother is a linebacker for Maryland.
Offers: Boston College, Iowa, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, UNC, NC State, Stanford, Syracuse, Towson, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Gloster says: "(Louisville) has a great offense. Even though I play defense Louisville is a team I have been watching. They have been very good the last several years and put players in the NFL so you know the coaching is good there."
DL Jibreel Black, 6-2, 260, Cincinnati (OH) Wyoming
Bio: A three-star defensive end rated the No. 39 prospect in the country, Black currently has fifteen scholarship offers.
Offers: Louisville,Cincinnati, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, West Virginia and Wisconsin, among others.
Black says: "Right now I've made the choice to take all five of my official visits before making a choice of where I'd like to go to school. I don't have a Top Five at this time but will look at attending some camps to learn more about each of the programs before making any decision."
