Louisville offers 3-star WR as quarterback

B.J. Chitty, Scout.com three-star wide receiver from Dothan-Northview, Ala., expects to stay busy with summer camps and preparing for his senior season. He continues to add scholarship offers with a new one coming in for the quarterback position.

"I picked up an offer from Louisville about a week ago," said B.J. Chitty. "I spoke with coach (Jay) Johnson. He was telling me he watched my highlight tape. He said he likes what I can do. He wants me to wear the black and red."

"I liked the offer. I plan to check them out. They offered me as a quarterback though. I want to play receiver in college."

{Editor Note: Chitty, the ranked the No. 124 WR, threw for about 1,500 yards and rushed for 600 yards as a junior. He'll play quarterback for Dothan High School next season.}

Chitty has added scholarship offers during the spring from Duke, Kansas State, Louisville, Southern Miss and Troy. He expects to receive an offer from Marshall in the near future. He does not list any favorites.

Chitty has started summer work-outs at school, and he has plans to hit a few college camps as well.

"Everything is going really good right now," he said. "I am glad to be out of school. We are working out Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays. We go from 9-11:30 a.m. We lift, do agility work and then go outside to work on plays."

"Spring training went good, but not as good as I expected. I am just playing quarterback. I worked on precision passing. I wanted to get better. I most definitely improved."

"We have a couple of 7-on-7 camps that we are going to. I am going to Alabama or Auburn for camp. I will most likely go to the Florida State camp."
