Sullivan looks to earn offer at UofL camp

Dominique Sullivan, the top quarterback in Mississippi, will attend Louisville's camp this weekend and he's looking for an offer from the Cardinals. With relatives living in Louisville, the 6-3, 170-pound Sullivan says he's definitely interested in the Cardinals.

"I've talked to Louisville a lot this spring," Dominique Sullivan said. "I talk to Coach (Jay) Johnson. He seems like a cool guy and he said that they really want me up there. They've been talking about an offer but they said they want to see me in person before they do. So that's why they want me to come to their camp."

Louisville will get a chance to evaluate the 6-3, 170-pound Sullivan Sunday at their one-day camp. Sullivan recently performed well at a camp in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and LSU's one-day camp. "He (Johnson) said they like my arm and footwork," Sullivan said.

A first team 2A all-state selection as a junior, Sullivan threw for more than 2,500 yards and 34 touchdowns. He's picked up three offers this spring from Southern Miss, Tulane and Louisiana Tech. Out of those schools, Sullivan is most interested in the Golden Eagles.

"Southern Miss stands out," Sullivan said. "Their offense fits my style and they're close to home. That's a factor but not a big one. The big factor is finding a spread offense that fits me."

With three offers in hand, Sullivan now will hit the camp circuit in search of a few BCS offers. After Louisville's camp, Sullivan will attend camp at Ole Miss and Mississippi State. As for the Cardinals, Sullivan has family living in Louisville and he's hoping Steve Kragthorpe makes him an offer.

"My uncle lives in Louisville so an offer would be great," Sullivan said.
