"I've been doing a lot of different types of workouts and training," Favors said on Wednesday. "I want to be ready to have a really good senior season."
Favors is ranked among the nation's top 50 prospects in the nation at his position and currently holds a three-star rating by Scout.com.
"It's good know that, but you can't let it go to your head," he said of the Scout.com rankings. "I need to go out and have a big senior season and provide senior leadership for our team."
State top Favors' list.
Favors has received up three scholarship offers to date.
"Louisville was the last one to offer," said Favors, who received the offer from the Cardinals last month. "There are a lot of others that are talking about it."
In addition to the Cardinals, Favors has also collected offers from Colorado State and Tulane. Others expressing interest include Central Florida, Purdue, South Florida, Syracuse, Toledo, Tulsa and Wake Forest.
"I've talked to coach Brent Myers and he's a real nice guy," Favors told InsideTheVille.com. "We had a good conversation about what's available for me up there. I need to give him another call before school starts."
With a trio of college opportunities in hand, Favors noted that two programs currently stand out.
"Right now I'm thinking the most about Louisville and Colorado State," he said, adding that the two programs are receiving assistance in their recruiting efforts.
"I've been training with Jeremy Wright, the running back from East Ridge that committed to Louisville, and he has been filling me in a lot," Favors said. "He has me thinking about Louisville even more."
"Our quarterback from last year, Nico Ranieri, is at Colorado State and he's called me a few times to tell me about what it‘s like there," he continued.
While two schools currently top his list, Favors plans on utilizing all of his official visits prior to making his college choice.
"I'm going to take all of my visits first," he said. "I want to see all the good things, plus the bad things. I want to see what everyone has to offer me and then decide which one is the best for me. Location doesn't matter at all."
Favor's is rated as one of the Top 100 prospects in Florida by Bill Buchalter. Favors recorded 151 tackles and two sacks last season as a junior.
