RB Kolby Smith likes the Cardinals

Following his official visit to Indiana, Smith told InsidetheVille.com that Louisville still leads for his services.

Kolby Smith is a highly sought after running back from Rickards High School in Tallahassee. He rushed for over 1,000-yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior. He made his official visit to Louisville on January 17 and just returned from a visit to Indiana.

"It was nice," explained Smith of his visit to Bloomington. "I really enjoyed it up there."

When asked to compare his two visits Smith expressed more interest in the Cardinals.

"The facilities [in Louisville] were really nice." said Smith. "The city of Louisville is bigger too, so there is probably a lot more to do there. Plus, I have some friends that are going up [to Louisville], so I'd be less homesick if I go there."

The friends he is referring to are P Brent Moody, WR Todd Brigman, DB Brandon Bradley and LB Willie Johnson from rival Tallahassee Lincoln High School. Louisville is also recruiting a teammate of Smith's, DB William Gay.

U of L running backs coach Joel Thomas will visit the Smith home on Monday, but he may not get a commitment just yet.

"I might be taking a visit to Nebraska this weekend," said Smith. "I haven't decided if I'm going to go yet, I'm just thinking about it."

In addition to Louisville, Smith has received offers from Indiana and Nebraska.
