Two days later, Eddie's mother informed ITV that her son had called new Louisville head coach Bob Petrino and committed to play for Cardinals. She continued to explain that her son inquired about the availability of jersey #1 for B.J. Vickers and that B.J. was very excited upon learning that the jersey was available and that it would be reserved for him should he decide to play for Louisville.
Well, that #1 jersey is no longer available.
The jersey was hanging in the locker room waiting for Vickers arrival. Shortly afterwards, he and his teammate and cousin, Antwuan Giddens, visited with Head Coach Bobby Petrino and gave their verbal commitments.
ITV has learned that all future visits have been cancelled and that commitment is very solid.
